One problem with non-private transportation is that other
people’s needs and wants don’t
always line up with your own.
Some people on elevators or buses are not going to the same
stop you are. Sadly, most public vehicles do not have VIP buttons.  Trust me, I’ve looked for them.

Sharing roads is already bad enough, and the problem extends to trains. With trains, it’s a real bummer since stopping and starting a train, especially a long train, is a major effort and cost. To maintain speed, efficiency, customer convenience and save on operating costs, the train must avoid stopping and starting up again. What to do? 
Well, duh. Cut out those frequent stops.
